Don't know about you people, but we think that it is completely unacceptable that, at the moment, we don't have a Wikipedia article for our awesome game!
Well, there actually is one, in Finnish: (link), which is unfortunately not very detailed, but kudos to whoever made an effort.
For starters, we are looking to create at least an article for the English wiki, with the basic overview of the game, its main features, gameplay, etc. Basically, something similar to this.
Obviously we would welcome other languages as well, so please feel free to contribute in any case. From our side, we promise to provide some generous rewards!

EDIT: No need to ask for our permission, just contribute away if you feel like you have something useful to add. Try and collaborate with each other when working on the same language, that's the whole point of WIkipedia!

EDIT2: I guess it goes without saying that the articles need to be as objective as possible, as per Wikipedia's guidelines.

EDIT3: Link to the new wiki page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atwar

We would probably want to make a few different subsections or headers within the page, i was thinking something not terribly detailed like:
Competitve, rp, senario, ancient, other popular maps, the tutorial, FFAs, setting options, premium, reinf, cash managing, duels, elo, trophies, medals, bla there is allot
Once we have basic frame setup it would be allot easier to make content (just suggestions)

Sucks that there is a Warlight page but no AtWar page. This game is better in many ways but I think the blunt simplicity of the other game attracts more "one time" players. ß

I wish to contribute as well. Is there anything specific, or just an article explaining the miracle of AtWar
?

Have a look at this article - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WarLight, we want something in a similar vein, but more awesome.

Per wikipedia requirements for video games:
Articles require significant coverage in reliable source independent of the subject.

WarLight has 1 source,Alexa - a game rating owned by Amazon.

I suggest we first get reviewers to play the game and rate it on youtube. In addition, I suggest we get a metacritic rating first before a wikipedia, because I mainly check out metacritic before buying a game. Wikipedia is one of the last place I go for a game review, but I do go there if the score on metacritic is good.

That's a tricky bit, our Alexa rating is not that impressive, unfortunately: http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/atwar-game.com. But Alexa is not known for being very accurate, anyway.
We are quite big on Kongregate, Desura and Indiedb, could we add these for sources? Youtube reviews could work equally as good.

I hope it will work. I think all we need to show is that AtWar is not some fringe game but it's recognized by respectable source. If it keeps getting deleted, try getting reviews like Civ V Perhaps try sending press kits to those reviewers

Best way to gain a reputation is a strong player base, best way to get those numbers and the publicity required would be steam. This game had all the content needed to be a power house of strategy gaming, including the tools for a great competitive scene.

Damn new generation of Greeks. Then we wonder why we have to conform to the ridiculous demands to descendants of germanic barbarian tribes and listen to baltic countries that made independance 3 years ago lecture us on character and policy.

I guess it goes without saying that the articles need to be as objective as possible, as per Wikipedia's guidelines.

When you want an objective article, everyone should know this.
Afterwind AtWar is a "Pay to win" game, Because the general gives a huge advantage! (In my opinion, this would be the biggest negative aspect)

pay to win is also a subjective assumption based on opinion

if you really want to be objective state that its possible to buy premium in the game for an amount of x dollars, and for this premium you get this pack which helps in this way, this pack which helps this way, etc etc

edit: added a part about the eu+ being competitive scene thing that other maps also have the characteristics of competitive play
edit2:just saw prem is on there anyway, so youre already objective

As i said. Strategies arent play2win because they are balanced. But having a General is a huge advantage. As long as nonpremiums havnt a general, this game is pay2win for me.

Thanks for the brilliant work, everyone, it's starting to shape into something!
Still need to be careful and make sure we adhere to all the wiki guidelines.

There's a few issues, according to wiki:

  • The topic of this article may not meet Wikipedia's general notability guideline
  • This article may contain improper references to self-published sources.
  • This article is an orphan, as no other articles link to it. Please introduce links to this page from related articles; try the Find link tool for suggestions.

As Phoenix had already mentioned above, we are still lacking on citations, references, links, etc.
And I also completely agree with Suomi, we need to make sure the article is unbiased, the bit about Warlight is completely unnecessary.

I think for now it's enough to have just one page for the game itself, let's see how it goes first. We can later link to it from other wiki pages (like this one, for example).
