Hey techies, Anyone knows if we could exploit the Inspect Elements to allow joining Casual CWs on turn 1? [As you may know, we casual players have a hard time starting CWs because we all have to be online at the same time to start the game (and most of Casual-only coalitions I know have barely enough players to just play 3v3, all players beautifully spread out in different timezones...) ] Thanks PS: For what I understand of Inspect Elements, it only allows to modify the webpage elements displayed in our browser, it does not allow us to modify data on the server. If I am right, I suppose my question could be reformulated like this: does anyone know if there exists an "element" of the game lobby that can be permanently modified through our browser and that would allow joining after turn 0? I unfortunately suspect that this "element" would be stored on the server, but I'm asking just in case...

Or maybe it could be exploited when trying to join the CW on turn 1, not when creating the game ... that might have more chances of success...

Exceptions for starting Casual CWs have been approved by mods in the past, because everyone agrees that starting them is too complex. For instance, lending your account to start the CW has been accepted. But, you're still making an excellent point: obviously, if ever someone tells me this is a possibility, I would have it approved by mods before using it...

Just log on to your clan members accounts and join using them at turn 0, mods approved of this.

Thanks for letting me know, it's less disappointing to drop the idea when it might not even work in the end

Oh yeah, agreed, players who join first can buy units. However, we, casual players, use a code of honor very similar to no "wallf*ck on turn 1", except it's "no reinforcement on turn 1" (you might actually have seen this as part of casual game titles). However, I have to admit you win with your second point; my brain gets really busy all day long Wanna try the busy brain? Casual CW, 3v3, Casual Ties VS Illyria, 48h, Eurasia (or Eu+?), 10K

Just asking, but what should you do in, for example, 5k where 1. You're a strat like gw, meaning that you cannot use your infs for major expansion 2. You do not intend to wall t1, but want people to not tb your cap anyway?

You'll have to help a poor casual player that does not know all (quick game only?) agreed-upon norms a little bit more. What's this thing about not walling and then asking others not to tb your cap? In casual games, we always wall on turn 1, with the same anti-wall-f*ck convention as you have in quick games. In case I wasn't clear in my previous post, during turn 1, we CAN move existing units (that is, the infantries in place at the beginning of the game). So during turn 1, we can wall (and attack neutral cities). The only limitation is for the players that started on turn 0; these players cannot reinforce with new units (but they can wall and attack with starting units). Then, on turn 2, everybody will reinforce and, optionally, attack walls and turn-block cities. There is no such thing as not turn-blocking cities on turn 2 if they did not wall on turn 1. Also, I might have totally misunderstood you , or even worse, I might not know all casual agreed-upon rules (isn't there a word meaning "agree-upon rules"? In French, it would be "convention", but in English, it looks like it means a kind of meeting...)

I sometimes intend to not wall as (imo) t1 walling isn't worth it in 5k. Also, yes convention is the word to represent agreed rules. convention NOUN 1A way in which something is usually done. 'to attract the best patrons the movie houses had to ape the conventions and the standards of theatres' Note: If you think that a certain word means something in German/French/Latin, it probably means something similar.
