Don't play ME often but i'd say syria

It has access to higher reinforcement places and decent income, all whilst being close to it.

For gme 3k i'm pretty sure iraq and syria are the best picks.

Kuwait can beat Syria, Iraq, early game or lategame if played properly. Iran could be hard to play against, but first turns for iran are deadly. So My favourite country in ME is Kuwait, because of the tinyness of a country yet the OPness. Just like NL
