1. Imperialist Turkey: Rushing Rome with 50 units! by clovis1122 -

General Guideline about Turkey: The three weeks.

Under normal conditions, you are going to have a lot of reinforcements. It is suggested to rely on walls and wall-fucks, as well to spread your troops all around Ukraine. This will help you to hide your real troop count, a very big advantage on its own.

The first three weeks are vital for Turkey. The most usual scene is described next:

First Week: Turn 1 - Turn 4. It all depends on the expansion. To avoid the next week spam, Ukraine will try to damage you in turn 3 and 4. This turns are meant to slowroll, unless you plan to rush Kiev. If you hold successfully all your territories, then you are going to have a nice advantage on the next week, it will enable you to overproduce your opponent. If not, then the faith of the game will depend on how much and which countries Ukraine took from you. Do not forget to leave your units close enough to some transport unit which can take them to your cities, in case Ukraine tries to take possible reinforcements from you or even your capital.

Second week: Turn 5 - Turn 8. This is the golden week for you: if you expanded enough, you are going to have a very high troop number. Rushes against Kiev are meant to be on turn 7 (surprise factor) or turn 8 (before reinforcements week). You should also consider taking any key country from him, such as southern Russia, Poland and/or Belarus, to weaken Ukraine for the next round. Send north all the troops that you can, always relying on walls to defend as many of your own cities that you can or to hold the enemy's army in a city. If you do not feel comfortable with the idea of rushing Kiev, just keep slowrolling. Wait for Ukraine's mistakes, stack cities prone to an enemy attack to kill enemy units when he attacks. Anyway, it's always important to capture as many cities as you can to steal his reinforcements and, most importantly, his income.

Third week: Turn 9 + . If you successfully managed to take Poland, Belarus, Russia South or any other important Ukrainian country, then you are doing fine. If not, then you should try to do it ASAP. Around this turn Ukrainian economy is strong enough to overcome Turkey's spamming capabilities. The longer the game continues without changes, the more advantage Ukraine will get.

General Tips :

- ALWAYS WALL your countries. Unexpected walls in the sea or between Odessa - Kiev can guarantee you extra protection.

- START PRESSURING Ukraine from the beginning: Climb up to Liviv and from there pressure Poland, Belarus and Baltic. Try to avoid letting him concentrate all his units in one single city, divide his army.

- TAKE all the undefended cities, does not matter how important they are.

- BREAK ALL the Ukrainian walls you can, and also be sure to keep them wall fucked.

- USE UP all your reinforcements before reinforcements week. Does not matter what you buy, even militias will help you increase your troop number.

- CAPTURE ALL the neutral countries around you before the reinforcements week. This way, you will have more reinforcements to spend.

-ONLY BUY TANKS under three circumstances: 1) You need extra attack on a city, but you have few reinforcements. 2) You are getting funded. 3) You are trying to be as efficient as possible when taking a country by using the essential number of reinforcements.

- AIR DROP when possible if you see the chance of taking an important country.

- HELP YOUR ALLIES when you can. Depending of the situation you will be able to take German's expansion around Balkans or get Italy from the enemy. Sometimes Italy will even be an enemy's home-country, and you will be able to attack him directly. This won't help you against Ukraine, but will help your allies.

They can be resumed like this:

- Always wall your countries/cities.
- Start pressuring Ukraine from the beginning.
- Take all the undefended cities.
- Break all Ukraine's walls.
- Use all your reinforcements before the reinforcements' week.
- Capture all the neutral cities around you before the reinforcements' week.
- Use tanks when possible.
- Air Drop when you see the chance.
- Help your allies by attacking close opponents.

Tactics seen in game, can be used as ideas:

1.Steal Moscow or Russia Northwest in turn 2. The idea consist in building an Air Transport and late-move on those countries on turn 2. For max efficiency, you can drop from 5 infantry to 5 tanks or a mix of those units.

2.Sea Wall from Varna to Samsun. This is one of the most unpredictable walls and can guarantee you extra protection.

3.Turn Blocks + Wall a country. since you have lots of units, you can send 1 unit to a target, and wall it. For example if Ukraine takes Hungary in turn 1, you can send 1 unit for TB, and wall it next.

4. Rush: to make them less noticeable, you should spread your troops very well. Breaking Moscow wall one turn before the rush is another useful tactic. It work best when your enemy can see that you actually have range to reach Moscow (for example if you have 15 infantries on Dnepropetrovsk [Ukrainian city] or Voronezh [Russia Central city] ).

5.Take the "small" Balkans zone between turn 2 and 3.

6.Wall your countries in Balkans as 1st priority, at turn 2. This is the turn in which the turn blocks effects are minimal. If you never have time for wall your countries, this can help you a lot at the cost of prioritization.
