This probably won't have much use in the competitive scene, but I think having railroads might be fun in a world map. The idea is simple; You create the railroad piece in your cities and attach them together just like building walls. Then you can send troops and tanks to the start of the railroad, load them on, (10 starting max capacity) then they automatically go to the end of the railroad. So in those big world games where it's hard to move and manage troops, you can essentially have your troops on autopilot moving toward the big battle. This also opens up room for more upgrades. Safer Trains, Train capacity, Faster Trains, exc. I think it might be a fun addition.

Railroads can be expensive and/or have a high maintenance cost so if the price is right, no 3v3 players would want to use them early on. Kind of like Anti-Air units.

Agree because trains. But I disagree with instantaneous transfer along a railroad. This would allow strats like IF to be OP late game. Instead I think the railroad should triple or quadruple the range of the unit transported along it, but allow 30 or so units per turn, a massive boost to normal range but not one that crosses continents in a single turn, which would be too strong. Additionally a similar concept of shipping lanes for traversing water?

This may be problem to quick games because you we'll need much time to build that.In casual games would be great.Anit aircraft i build when i fight against SM too but i buy them rarely.

Railroads would be affected by it's player strat. The range for the train and the railroad pieces would be limited just like how inf and tanks have limited range when you play IF.

It may seem like a long time, but in reality it isn't. For example, if you control all of Europe, Getting from Paris to Iran shouldn't take more than a minute.

This. No need to implement railroads in scenarios/maps. Map-maker already can simulate railroads (check Tiks WWII (currently unpublished ) or my Lunar Colonization scenario).
