Why can't we zoom in more in gameplay? If we can do it in scenario maker, I don't see any reason why it would not work for the actual game. Many places would have much more potential. Much more cities for each country. This is the Middle East in my current world map: Now imagine how many more cities I could add with this: It would also work for the American part. One example is the lack of troops in New Jersey due to Newark being a suburb of New York City. I can't add it in because they would be the basic same place. Why not?

You know very well why... We used to have greater zoom until we realised this pixelated the stretched backgrounds even more (cough Utah's Ultimate Europe) More cities and zooming means longer load times anyway. The zoom in scenario maker is there to allow smoother and more accurate lines in game.

Also remember that zoom caused many bugs, for example bugs in walls.

Doesnt exactly work for a whole world map. Also, why not allow us to set the zoom on the map then?
