This is probably my 450th thread here about this, but we should really organize some peeps and have weekly multiplayer runs. I have all the DLC's and discord server set-up habibis. Plz come be happy

I said the same thing about having our atwar discord as a hub for strategy game players especially paradox games and civ games, i'm sure most of these players will be at least interested in our game, so it's a pretty good idea

Idk what that EU4 thing is... I only play civilization. It's free right now in Epic Games btw.

Eu4/hoi4 pirated, latest dlc's. I could probably get knez and couple of more for some game.
Tho i havent played eu4 in ages, as for hoi4 i played it last time when la resistance came out.

Perhaps it's a good opportunity. I bought the game like 4-5 years ago and got bored very quickly to say the least. Can you explain the crazy hype surrounding this game? What do you like about it?

Replayability roleplay historical althistory huge time period detail in every region of world.....of you need the 150 euros worth of dlc to experience it thus i never gonna trhow money to paradox because i disagree with their dlc policy. Pirated only.

It all depends if you like the genre or not.
Also, paradox games tend to have "long tutorial", there is something like a joke inside eu4 community that once you get couple of thousands hours, you finally finished tutorial. Shit, first time i touched Eu4 i gave up 30min later cuzz there was just way too much to learn. Picked it up again a year or so later and got hooked up like crazy.
So, you probably shouldnt play those type of games (eu4, hoi4, stellaris) unless you can invest yourself in them, cuzz its gonna be hard for you to have the best experience and enjoy them properly.

I don't play games anymore but for the record I have spent sufficient amount of time. And I usually am big fan of strategy games. But I probably could not relate to the economical and political concepts which seem kinda random. Also big part of the consideration is that you have to play for hours for the slightest action. I understand why the large amount of details and risk management are inspiring people and it might be rude to say it. But I just believe there are better games out there.

Because basics never change, a simple game mechanics. If you like the basics then you would like the game, cuzz you can approach the game in any way you want. Wanna play with marriages, go Austria. Wars, Prussia. Colonies, Portugal. Money, Venice etc. And those are just straightforward choices.

Also if you didnt like SP i doubt you'll like MP.

Yes.

The similarities are clear. However victoria II is a little bit more realistic. Provides more interesting economical tools and does not give any discounts. If your economy is growing your neighbors will send all their forces to destroy you. Expecting it and trying to predict their moves is both interesting and exciting. And if you defend well it is also beneficial. Also the political paradoxes are far less made up and in your face. But again there are better games.

Total War is like Vodka. Even the terrible ones are amazing I sincerely loved every Total War I have played.
