This map is already outdated and pointless we need to move back on to the other old maps and replay as in the past to rebuild atWar.

In my last games my past illussion on the map finally ended.

Ww1 just like rp. everyone hate it, thinks its shit map. But to that community it might as well be created by motherfucking GOD himself.

Not to mention the high level of toxicity in the maps community. It's even worse than what RP was. FAR WORSE. I mean literally people harass you and tell you to go kill yourself; that kinda BS RARELY happened in RP just as it does in any other community; however ww1 is really bad.


The map shouldn't be banned; however, I do think it does need to be moderated. Players should be able to play a popular map without having to deal with harassment and high levels of toxic players. I truly am sort of disappointed in our Mod team for taking action against this kind of stuff but didn't think to actively go into ww1 games where the majority of this happens currently.

My cute little boy, ww1 was "deleted" for 2.5 months during the summer of 2018 and that didnt give a chance at others map to fill, what actually happened is that many people left and the few players who stayed could barely play anything cause nothing was really filling and the same retarded map was spammed for like 3 weeks and then a new map took its place for spamming.

The last time WW1 was deleted the game almost died. This idea that the players will go play other maps was already proven to be nonsense.

Make a map where it is quite balanced, has good events. Historically events/ income/ units too. The map has been changed quite a lot for the better.
The border/ countries/ units etc are overall nicely done. Not extremely lot of units. It is simple, not hard to understand, and give every country different type of goals.
I think 11 is also just the right amount of players for a map, either because more players will fail it and less players can make it less fun.

It's also got to do with 'winner takes all'. Since it is the most popular map, it automatically will get more players stuck in it. So the player base for ww1 is automatically huge.
And because of it people dont go to other maps which has lower player base. It's like this: Messi is the best player in the world. But how much better is he then a 9th division player who gets like 0.0001% of his salary? How much faster is Messi? 10000x faster or just 1.5x faster? The same can be said for WW1. Its just that people enjoy it a little bit more than some other maps out there so it gets way more attraction than other maps.

Maybe it's also got to do with taste. Some people just like ww1 and when they do they will like it a lot and will play it often. I used to like other maps when i came to atwar as well and used to play them a lot too, until i got stuck with ww1. The ww1 community is just big enough to always have enough people to play with. And u will know almost everyone in the ww1 playerbase too.

So it has got to do with a lot of things and u cannot just create a map thinking the map is good and gets good reviews etc you'd think it will be most popular. That wont happen overnight.
The problem is that we need more players. To fill the player base for each map.

If there was a poll, however, where scenario players were asked which one's the better map between WW1 and a map like Wars of Religion or Second Coalition, I'm confident WW1 would lose.

Zeph, lets be honest man. WW1 player base is just huge. thats why it regularly fills. I tried hosting wars of religion/ Neu both fail at filling compared to ww1. while the same players are online.

You didn't respond to shit, I made a valid argument about why WW1 is played more eventhough it's not people's favourite map, and you replied by telling me it's played more, go back and read again what I wrote because if you're going to reply without even paying attention to what I said you may as well not bother.

When i was low rank (r6-r7) i played WW1 nearly everyday when i joined Aristokrats i started playing both CWs and WW1 i think that map is somehow addicting. If you get bored from the game you can always chat with the community (apart from Russia and Prussia they need to spend their time well) though that might also explain why ww1 never dies.

You guys are stupid, deleting ww1 wont make maps filled, and this was proven in the past. The last time ww1 was deleted the game almost died. Deleting ww1 is just gonna make atwar more inactive since a lot of people play ww1, It's a fun game.
