Can we have a Time limit to Game Bans

- I've been banned from the ww1 game for about 5 years now because I left early once & a banning for that long is ridiculous - can this be changed is quite frustrating

This might not be a bad idea... having an auto-remove after 6months to a year could resolve problems like this.

So you know aramen, you can appeal a map ban... if you actually want to start playing again on that map, and your ban is only for what you say, it should be a simple conversation - just contact the map maker and expain the situation. If there is no resolution, talk to a mod. {Save your conversations.}

Yup, same. I've been banned from that WWI map for a lifetime; don't remember how when or why, might aswell be my very first game in which I screwed up. Worst part is, I wrote this to the creator Aelitus explaining it and he strait up ignored me :/

Bad idea. Is from personal experience that i know that people that maliciously troll a map never change, the majority of them being low ranks/free accounts. Instead, bans should have a time stamp that could be used for reference when a high rank premium account like aramen requets the mods to inquiry in the subject. Mods should manually judge the cases in a case by case basis.

If there is a pic of a player saying "Fuck you, i don't care about getting banned from the gay ass shit map" and then a following pic of that same player leaving - i don't care how much time has passed, he doesn't deserve to play the map ever again.

Sure 5 years may seem like a long time but it's already hard to fill games in it's current state and trolls or people willingly leaving early game can waste minutes/hours of people waiting for a game to fill. If you don't have time to play the full game why join? What's the point of joining a game you know you won't be able to finish? and even if you had time to play before the game actually filled just say you don't have time anymore and leave, don't just leave mid-game and ruin it and waste people's time. Unless you have some legitimate emergency come up, that's the only real excusable reason you would leave early game, unless the game having failed.

This is not logical, revenge will do not but damage the atWar community. Some people like sinanco, don't even remember when and why he got banned.

We have to give second chances. Sometimes people leave a game once because they have a life outside the computer.

I agree that trolls deserves to be punished and banned from games, but not for 5 or 10 years, that's not punishment, it's a revenge.

You say people have lives outside the computer but what about those people who's times are wasted by trolls? People who spend hours waiting for a game to fill just to have a troll ruin the game. Time is imperative especially when the atwar we play it now takes hours to fill a single game. Unless you have a legitimate reason, then the map maker will most likely unban you. If you truly don't have time to play, then why not tell the host and leave game, there's no reason you should stay in a game that'll last 2 hours if you have only 10 minutes to play. If you can't justify wasting other people's times/ruining the game for others then why should you be entitled to get unbanned?

I dont disagree with you. But if it's not something recurrent and done by trolling, the punishment must be done, but not in a harsh way. Some people have kids or wife, job, or any other thing that can shows up from nowhere with problems for you to solve imediately. I'm talking about regular players, not the trolls who don't do anything but screw other people games because they are "bored".

Yeah, most people don't change, but there are many people who get these kinds of bans as described above, and mods do spend a fair amount of time dealing with them. Perhaps auto remove by default with an override option for the hard core high level trolls.

Especially like the time stamp - some mods do put in their description which is helpful for everyone, but having that automated would save everyone time.
