Do you think TVP can be implemented in only one country while being surrounded by capitalist and communist neighbors? If under pressure, like war or sanctions, can it succeed? Is beginning very hard since currency is removed in TVP or economy will flourish immediately? What is more important in TVP society: abundance of resources or knowledge/skill? What nation would have advantage if they implement TVP: someone like China because of large workforce, or Russia because resources abundance or Germany because technology? Is economic and financial development required for TVP (fe; like Marx created communism for more economically developed West) or even DR Congo can prosper instantly under TVP? Do you think we, humans are ready for TVP, or we need to wait for more tech-development, like robotics, because of automation?
---- If a game is around long enough, people will find the most efficient way to play it and start playing it like robots

(1) the most difficult is certainly the transition. in speaking with a university professor, he suggested modeling after a Mennonite or Amish community as these are ''real-world'' examples of societies that have essentially 'sequestered off' from the mainstream. in this example, Amish and Mennonites do not (apparently) have much pressure from the capitalist forces surrounding them. (2) the two go hand in hand. to have knowledge, you need abundance... and abundance frees you to explore more knowledge. the main point is, both are possible. The nice thing about determining 'advantage' would be, the results would speak for themselves. However, nations like china, russia and germany would all flourish, owing to the work ethic and respect for knowledge each of these people tend to have. (3) in Jacques Fresco's vision, yes. however, the essence of the model would work for any society no matter where on the technological/developmental spectra they lie. ironically, small tribal societies still 'untouched' by modern civilization function using the same basic principles of providing for the basic needs of their 'tribe' first, while respecting and maintaining the knowledge of their culture and traditions. Countries that are extremely underdeveloped, that are exceptionally 'low-trust' will have have more difficulty adapting as their culture may be resistance to the notion of helping others. (4) i think any person who has the ability to understand what it takes in raising a child (providing necessities and knowledge) without expecting a 'ROI' is capable. In other words, if you can give, without expecting anything in return, that is all you really need. In this sense, nearly everyone is. However, there are people who view their children as capital first, and such self-oriented people wouldn't have the requisite compassion and ability to think in terms of what TVP proposes. TVP is at root 'cooperative' and not 'competitive' - it is the difference between 'multi-cell organisms' and 'bacteria' - a certain level of complexity is required, and each cell must respect their neighbouring cell to evolve. ♥
