Try another browser (Chrome?). Check if there any Javascript errors in console (here's a guide: http://atwar-game.com/forum/topic.php?topic_id=21909).

Yes, don't use that mode. It isn't a good thing overall.

And since you can no longer start games on Silverlight, but only finish them, go back to using Chrome

Here is the console from chrome:

That doesn't look right. Could you try with https instead ? https://atwar-game.com

Wait after a while I said web socket Closed.

Before refreshing the page, could you open the console.
Then load the page, open Network tab (1), set filter to 'negotiate' (2) and take a screenshot of the response headers (3) or the whole console.

This is the response header I got

HTTP/1.1 200 OK

Access-Control-Allow-Origin: https://atwar-game.com
Access-Control-Allow-Credentials: true
X-Content-Type-Options: nosniff

Access-Control-Allow-Origin: https://atwar-game.com
Access-Control-Allow-Credentials: true

This doesn't make any sense - "No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource. Origin 'http://atwar-game.com' is therefore not allowed access."
It is right there in the response headers...Have you got some weird network/firewall/proxy/router setup by any chance or an ISP interfering with your traffic?

You could also try this extension, I suppose - https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/allow-control-allow-origi/nlfbmbojpeacfghkpbjhddihlkkiljbi?hl=en
