Andertius Fabius, the great commander comes back to Rome, steps down from field consulship and gives a speech to the senate;
"Fellow senators!
Populares congratulate all on new positions, in hopes that the interest of Republic will step above personal interests. Functions give personal privileges, but we must be united to save our Republic against strong enemy of Puns!
We call upon generous donations from the wealthy senators of the greatest civilization in known World! For Romans! For Republic!
Respecting words from Pontifex Maximus, and in agreement, I call upon donating this years's incomes to Rome!
Populares will donate 5 shekels to republic, the whole income that we gained this year!
We call upon that economicaly stronger factions shall donate more, and that 1 shekel donations are a plebeian tier donations!"
*Senatores plaudite!*
Andertius Fabius fastly returns to Sicily, continuing campaign against Puns!
Julius Plautius continues the dialogue in Roman senate, in hopes for better future.

Senator Drusus Claudius hosts gladiatorial spectacle for 18 wealth, invests one wealth on Equite and the faction donates the rest to the state. Senator Drusus also approaches the gens Fulvia, attempting to persuade them to join Rome's cause. Furthermore, Consuls should consider the options for the next Consul, taking into account Senator Drusus' rising popularity, which could be used to appease the masses...

Julius Plautius stands up and speaks:
"Fellow senators,
Past few hours, we were witnesses of small-talks between governing coaliton in darkness and obscurity of Senate's couloris
Personal interests are, as it looks, above interest of Republic for the governing coalition.
Due to the latest news, Populares will withdraw all donations to Rome."

Vitam enters the senate: i am honored by this great trust that the senators gave in me, to lead rome into war! but sadly, we are over whelmed by 2 wars, and the gods are not in our favor.... perhaps some senators sinned, thus, i suggest attacking illyria as our navy is too weak for anything else. first i will donate all of my money to the one who will host games, 4 talents. secondly, i suggest to fight the illyrians and ignore carthage, aswell as mace. to handel unrest we gotta host games.

Pontifex Maximus, Lucius Aurelius Cotta, speaks to senate:
''Fellow senators, the bad omens have faded, the generous donations of the factions of Rome have pleased the gods sufficiently for the. time being, whether it was enough we will only know when Scipio's military campaign ends. Thank you all for your many contributions and may the republic prevail!''

Battle of Panormos
Dictator Publius Cornelius Scipio + MoH Gaius Julius (9 command) (Direct Charge)
(10 fleets+9 command)=19 strength
Hanno (Balanced)
(10+3 Fleets) = 13 strength
Battle Roll: 10+6-1 evil omens=15
Result: Victory
The Carthaginians, seeing the signs of dark brewing storm approaching settle onto shore near Pánormos, dragging their ships onto the beach. Scipio, eager for battle and also very inexperienced in matters at sea did not think those dark clouds meant anything and presses on. Freakishly, the winds turn and the storm blows away, confounding the veteran greek sailors while Scipio and Gaius remain oblivious of their good fortune.
Scrambling to board their beached ships, the romans find the Carthaginian fleet strewn across the beach and attack at once, landing their armored hastati and principes who cut down the light marines. With no room to manuever in the bay, the superiority of the carthaginian fleet counts for little even though a portion does ram its way out of the trap, most is destroyed quickly.

Hamilcar (Surprise Attack)
(10+3 Armies) = 10 strength
Battle Roll: 16+5 tactical counter-1 evil omens=20
Result: Decisive Victory
Hamilcar hears word of the naval defeat and immediatly retreats westwards towards Lilybaeum where he plans to ambush their pursuing army however Scipio instead gathers the troops left by Fabius Tyndaris and sails all the way back ahead of Hamilcar and blocks his path, charging on his army.
The legions, was far easier to form up and engage into battle compared to the unwieldy carthaginian phalanx, their elephants, and multicultural army. Thusly Gaius Julius fell upon them and within minutes began to shatter their morale. The war was mopped up over months with sieges across holdouts, and Carthage sues for peace.

Hostus Furius enters the Senate
"Senators... i had come here with an accusation, an accustation against Fabius Andertius, ex-proconsul and the man responsible for the dissaster against Carthage in Sicily, many think this is due to his incompetency as a field commander, that is infact true, but there is another bigger reason...Fabius is a traitor to Rome and every Roman, he got large sums of gold from the Carthegenians to lose that battle, my reports tell me that after the battle he was saw with a huge stash of gold, this gold, once he ofcourse returned to Rome, was NOT donated as all the other senators did, let me remind you gentlemen that the republic needed money for training and recruiting Legions and constructing ships to help us with the war in Sicily. Senators, i feel that the proof is here, and i do think that Fabius needs to be punished for his crimes against Rome..."
