It may be about money for ivan and amok, BUT FOR US its more than that, its lots of good memories, lots of friendships that got extended into real life.
I hate to see this go down, this is part of me, and i do anything to save this part that i need. cause life would never be the same without this little things that brought us together bros. don't sit idly and watch this disaster and nag about it.

We must take control, i will struggle to Buy this game from them. i will do it anyway, with or without your helps. and when i did i will find good admins and mods that actually CARE about this game.. cause to them it won't be a game, it will be a family gathering ...

Oh my, OK.

1. The game is not dying. Player numbers are stable and we fully intend to continue supporting atWar for years to come. Anyway, I could probably find posts from 5 years ago claiming the game is dead.
2. We're now aware of the Chrome problem and are going to fix it ASAP.
3. Capt_PepPeroni, I will reply to you in private.
4. LOL if you guys think that selling the game to a big company is going to save it. After paying us they are going to make sure they squeeze as much profit from atWar as possible - that necessarily means pay to win and other dirty tricks.

Thank you for your response, it is very much needed, but I have a few concerns that the community shares:

- The fact that you intend to support AW is great and a relief to hear, but you also need to show it. People are concerned about map maker, servers, etc, and we have not heard from you guys in ages (I went inactive for a few months and came back, and nothing had changed). If we can just get a realistic ETA for the map maker and a show of some commitment, I think the community will be greatly put at ease, and activity will start to grow again. While numbers may have not necessarily fallen, quality has. Competitiveness has declined and no new maps are coming out. While the game is still enjoyable, this is an issue that needs to be tended to.

- We don't want the game to be pay2win for sure, but we also want to see the game moving forward. I know that you guys are busy and all, but the community has some great ideas for not only things to implement, but also ways to enhance the overall game quality, such as hiring a full time programmer and giving them a percentage of monthly premium revenue or of the game as a whole.

I hope you can take some time to go around the forums and see how the game's doing, and we all hope that you guys update us and keep in touch.

Cheers.

I privatly know people eho are willing to find sponsors for AtWar but they cannot because you don't have IP (except for copyright, bot copyright is not enough).
Also, there is a problem that no one controls moderators, some of them are banning whoever they want and that is not okay.
Also i don't understand why does Sun Tzu have admin position if he is not admin anymore?
And, last question: Why don't you start some project like steam greenlight is, to get the capital?
I am very happy that you want to care for this game, but we don't know about Amok, he's the programmer...
I do not want this to be a hate post, but a constructive one, players on AtWar speak about dying of AtWar, that is half true. The player base is not stable, it is smaller and smaller. In winter of 2014, the medium number of players in peak hours (8-12pm CET) was 200, now it is 46...

At this point I'd rather atWar to become pay2win (more than it already is @General) but to improve servers stability, solve the hundreds of bugs and move forward. The concept was nice, but we gotta be more realist here.

Either the admins abandon some of their compromises and obligations to give this game the time that it deserves, or sell it to another person/Company that can give it the time that this deserves. The solution won't just fall from a tree. Bugs aren't magically going to be solved nor server will suddenly improve from the night to a morning. All that requires time and effort*.

Ivan. The numbers you are looking at are wrong. Take a look at the competitive seen, half the activity of last year. Main lobby full of r7s and 8 with no early day games to be played. RP consuming the player base of low ranks, meaning no spread of games.

You need the map editor and updates or more high ranks will be gone, meaning no backbone for the game = no growth.

competitive isn't equal to activity, believe it or no, people have fun in rp, and that's enough reason to play, also, high ranks are perhaps the backbone of the forum, but by no means the backbone of the game, most players usually avoid playing against high ranks if possible, high ranks usually avoids to play against low ranks if possible too

High ranks have the knowledge of the game, If there is none then the 6 years of knowledge goes away. The forum only does so much. Competitive is one of the biggest parts of the game and has gone down in activity cause of the admins. RP is just nonsense.

I'm afraid I cannot give a realistic ETA for the map maker, as it's entirely up to Amok at this point, and trust me, I'm doing what I can to push the subject every time we talk. He has a few days of holidays now, hopefully something will get done.
Of course, there are plenty of things for me to do as well, but I just cannot seem to find the time. This is as frustrating for me as it is for you, trust me.

It would be nice to have the budget to hire people - for marketing and programming, but our revenue is rather pitiful, and we can't really afford it. One thing we discussed was opening up the client source code, but that needs more consideration.

I don't know how much can be possible, but if there's people in this forum that are willing to "help the game" buying it, then they can give the money (just if they are willing to do it) to hire the people that you both don't can, as you said (full time programmers and everything what this needs). Besides, if you started and conduced this to be a good game, you both had to know this would require a lot of time to care, so you should've planned something about it if you knew that Amok and you was to have a full time job. If this sounds acid, sorry. But it's the truth. I'd like to help as much as I can, but I'm too poor to do it. So I leave here this opinion.
