Here's an honest answer: this feature isn't necessary. Do you see how many reps I give to other people? No. If that's the case, why should you care about how many upvotes I give to other people? The two are perhaps the closest functioning features on atwar. If I can't see how many reps I give to other people, the same should apply to upvotes.

The point was not to make it meaningless like reps. Something needs to be distinguised.. The Rep feature is useless, The elo feature is useless, the ranking system is uselss.. So whats your point.

Rep is useful. More reps you jave, more easier you fuck a girl.. More elo you have, more bukakka you produce. Everything is useful same as my comment

Reading this whole thing makes me realize how much ivan has stopped trying and more become death1812 2.0, literally this offers nothing but incitive to troll to community and spam "upvote4upvote" as seen in the previous 10 posts about it. This is another useless addition that could be added after html5 is added and some real concerns are address, like idk maybe the 2 year old map making system that bugs out all the time and is so frustrating and unorganized, please listen to more then just the trolls of the community, while i dont have a problem with this it serves no purpose to be put ahead of other things that are for the bettering of the game.

I actually dont get this at all, this game has so many lacks at so many points. You guys should actually focus a bit more on these important things, I have seen alot of good ideas in the forums.. You guys keep taking time for little things like these which are totally unneccesary and probably will lead to more off-topic comments like :'' My statement is better since it has more ''likes'' ... What happened to this game ..

oh ok i get what you are saying, but my point is still valid that this is unnecessary when we have things like html that need to be added

BUMP Ivan are you implementing down vote button? it would complete the agree/disagree points of one argument. And also would counter those players that upvote everything.

I would also like to see a more user friendly tag system. There is a workaround to this if you wish to tag a player that has not been active on a particular thread. All you need to do is use the same UBB code as if you were quoting another player and find the player profile id number. example mauzer panteri: . So it would appear like this:
You can quote/tag as many players as you like in one post.

How could a down vote button ever be construed as constructive? It will only lead to less popular players having their forums 'downvoted' and discourage activity in the forum overall. Otherwise facebook would of introduced a similar feature to this years ago.

Rather than reply I could just upvote your comment. How is this different from quoting you and saying "I don't support" or "I don't agree with you" ?

Rather than reply I could just downvote your comment. How is this different from quoting you and saying "I don't support" or "I don't agree with you" ? For your argument, it will only discourage someone's activity if he take them serious.... or if he is a really bad person. Which is good. My argument still stand. Feel free to reply it.

Simply down voting does not offer any constructive criticism only criticism. Which does not add any thing of value to any forum post, there must be a reason that can be explained in any post when there is a disagreement. What if the player is not a bad person and does not deserve their posts down voted. Having a down button would also contradict the general rules of AtWar regading forum posts.

Watch this:
For those situation in which a player could "unfairly" down vote someone, I am just going to reply there are situation in which a player could up vote "unfairly" someone. Once again, both Upvote/Downvote only mean something if you take them personal. And what with those situation in which a player had been show to down vote someone without reason? I would reply this:
Do you notice the mirror? In my opinion, everything have a good and bad effect. But we say they are good or bad when the good effects are way higher than the bad effect. As for the down vote button, I think the advantages are higher than the disadvantage.

Still provides no constructive input regarding peoples post and the up vote' button provides a purpose to reduce 'support' spam. As I say a player would state their reasons if their was a disagreement. Unless a player would like to contribute something extra, the up vote button, provides a purposeful function and reduces spam. Down voting has only negative repercussions.
