Anyone here in favour of banning abortions?
I want to hear your reasons why.

What's the point of banning abortions anyways? Like guns, people are still gonna get abortions even if it's outlawed.

Yeah we had this conversation some times over the years. Alot of whackos here who believe that an unborn parasite has more rights than a fully grown adult female.

In Ceausescu's Romania at some point a law was issued which banned abortions. Abortions were still made, but in miserable conditions and with enormous risks.
The natural increase of my country is, however, negative.
Chinese and some Middle Easterners started to settle here, especially in the south.
So I guess the population number will stagnate, unless some miracle will happen, some campaign will be conducted to encourage baby-making or privileges granted to larger families. You in USA don't have this problem, because immigration adds the necessary + over a stagnating or negative natural increase.
We, opposing you, are quite poor, so we are not attractive for large numbers of immigrants, we catch once in a while some Middle Easterners at the borders (especially when trying to cross into Serbia/Hungary to go further west) and deport them or they ask for political asylum, but they are few. I am not sad because of this.

I am now thinking of our grand-grandfathers, having 10-15+ kids. Only now I think that if I would hear of something like this now, I would be amazed, I can count on the fingers of one hand the persons I met who have 10+ kids here. Other than that, friends, relatives, acquaintances of mine have 1 kid, when I hear about the 2nd kid I am like wow, congrats, that's a big thing and 3 kids have only older people I know...

All in all, it is true what you say, that abortions will be made whatever the laws, but maybe there is a way to incentivize baby-making so that we reach some 1%-2% natural increase, at least.

Agreed, right now a kid is not an asset anymore, it's more like a worry and a burden. Why would anyone want to have more than 2 kids anyway?

I don't support abortion due to me being a Christian and tbh imo abortion should be banned but thats my opinion

Unborn baby's are living. You are committing murder. From the moment the sperm is produced by the male that is a living organism. To make it seem less than it is, but still have a major factor. Killing anything is wrong. Think of a women who losses her child in birth or dies when the women dies. They morn the loss of a child and his/her death, they do not morn what they could have been. Some even have funerals.

Scientists/doctors now sell fetus's to organisations and companies for experiments because, they have no care for life. This stems all the way from the top and falls down to the bottom to people like us. If people at the top have no care for life and infect our minds with it , we'll change. Just like we have in modern days.

A women might say she can't afford it, it's too difficult but, there is always a way. In an extreme case when the women is raped. It is still here child and she could send it away.

It isn't killing if it isn't alive. No scientist would consider a mass of cell that would die on its own living yet.

Regardless, why would you try to restrict the bodily right of people with laws. Imagine if circumcism was banned because the mass of cell off your penis was considered a life.

Pro women's life and, thus, their choice to abort or not.

First of all, abortions are legalized primarily because if they were illegal, people would just do it anyways and in shitty conditions, which would endanger the woman and probably kill her or cripple her. So legalizing abortions prevents illegal abortions which endanger health. On top of that, they prevent some sort of illegal activity dark-market-ish stuff, which also has a positive effect.

First of all, this is a bit stupid? Unborn babies aren't exactly living, they're just a forming fetus till x months. Some legislation allow abortions up to x weeks (very few) of "age", if we can call it that way. You're putting as if abortions are allowed until 7 or 8months of pregnancy or the day before its birth, so don't go through the autism way. I'd rather have my (future) wife sacrifice her growing fetus if she was risking her life than carry on with some crippling pregnancy. Afterall, aslong as I don't get my dick and balls chopped off, I can just make another one. Yes, sorry for being blunt but we have to be objective and babies aren't the end of the world. In Medieval age parents would lose 2 or 3 kids and breed ohter 8.

Nobody is condemning the fact there's baby funerals, also those funerals are held with babies who were born already so..yeah (in majorly most of the time), but pragmatism should stand above all tbh

I believe abortion is simply murder. We are being forced to normalize these things by these extreme liberals, to think you can just tear the limbs from a baby and see it as normal is sick. It is a complete disregard for life. I believe abortion should only be allowed when the life of the woman is at direct risk.

What kind of attitude is that to take? Do you know how many successful people grew up in poverty? Gabriel Jesus grew up painting the streets of Brazil before the World Cup, now he earns millions playing for Manchester City. Taking a baby's life because it will struggle with poverty is extreme.

I would allow abortions only in few cases
such as
rape
endangering life of mother
diseases that will make life harder and which can be discovered by fetal screening.

Use your brain dinkwad. Women have entirely different roles in sexual reproduction as men. It's obvious when it comes to sex, men are more disposable than women since it only takes one man to impregnate a thousand.

Because you and many others here dont even know the basics, like what life is and what constitutes a living organism. A fetus fails 3 of the 4 criteria to be described as an organism based on biology, since it does not react to stimuli, it cannot reproduce and cannot maintain homeostasis.

The data suggests that between 1995 and 2008 abortion rates have lowered in developed nations, which can be explained by better access to sex education, general education, access to healthcare and family planning. Also countries with more liberal laws on abortion actually have lower abortion rates.





Moreso, as you can see by the following picture, the countries with themost harsh anti-abortion laws, are actually the countries that rank best in crime rates, illiteracy, corruption, human rights violations and rank worst in healthcare, education, standards of living, participation in scientific papers etc. The link with religiosity is also obvious.






Going even further, if we check the fertility rates, as shown in the next picture, oh Surprise suprise!! The same countries that had anti-abortion laws have the highest fertility rates, to put it bluntly they cant control their fucking children. Not only they contribute to overpopulation, but they shamelessly give birth to children in conditions of poverty, hunger, disease and illiteracy. Guess where all these uneducated, diseased, poor souls gonna migrate when they grow up and who does that help?






TLDR; Based on the data, there is a clear correlation between strict anti-abortion laws, religiosity, high fertility rates, stupidity and the worst standards of living seen on earth.
