[VOTE] Player of The Year 2015

Hello gentlemen.

For those of you who are jut joining use the Player of The Month(PotM) system has been abandoned evident from the lack of any player who won the award last year. Instead it is now replace with a Player of the Year(PotY) system where nominees are nominated by the community and staff members for their contributions through out a year.

Active member of the supporter team. Created the "Suggestions To Be Possibly Implemented To AtWar" thread and kept it updated after the discontinuing of the community wishlist thread. Hosted 3 tournaments and events through out 2015, HTML5 Tournament, The Final Game of Silverlight and Destoria Tournament. Created and managing the AtWar Magazine. Mentor in the Find-A-Mentor program. Active participant in the boot camp program. Active bug reporting during the development of HTML5.



Active member of the supporter team. Weekly writer in the atWar Magazine. Lead director of the Find-A-Mentor and Adopt-A-Newb programs. Created the AtWar Index great effort at organizing the forum. Analyzed help chat messages to make the Help Chat Analysis. Made a number of useful thread for new players including "How to Take Screenshots With LightShot" thread. Played a big role in the revitalizing of the supporter position. Active bug reporting during the development of HTML5.



Active member of the supporter team. Gifted full premium to a number of players through a variety of challenges during the discount week. Created a couple of threads with useful information such as the "How to calculate cost of countries" thread. Suggested the implement of shortcuts to the game, with a convincing argument. Shortcuts were later implemented. Active bug reporting during the development of HTML5.



Active member of the supporter team. Created a number of useful threads to help new and veteran players a like including "Tips, Tricks and Common knowledge about AtWar", "Start making your own atWar videos today", "Advanced concepts about Walls: Investigation" and "The AtWar website in 3 minutes". Active participant in the boot camp program. Played a big role in the revitalizing of the supporter position.



Active member of the supporter team. Created, maintained and improved the "Duel Time!" thread a good step in compiling dueling data. Active bug reporting during the development of HTML5. Active bug reporting during the development of HTML5.



Active member of the supporter team. Worked with clovis1122 to create "The atWar website in 3 minutes" a great initiative in creating video guides for new players. Mentor in the Find-A-Mentor program. Active participant in the boot camp program. Played a big role in the revitalizing of the supporter position.



Active member of the supporter team. Created a number of useful threads in collaboration with clovis1122 centered around competitive game play such as "Turkey guide and Expansion collection", "Germany 10k Expansions", "Ukraine 10k Expansions" and UK 10k expansions focused on 3 vs 3 gaming".

Hosted 6 tournaments including the "Duel Tournament", "Crazy Lucky Tournament, "Second Master of the East, "Home & Away Tournament, "The Punisher" and "Pandora's Box". Attempted to host a player managed duel league which ultimately did not take of the ground. Created the unoffical atWar Instagram, now inactive. Played a big role in the revitalizing of the supporter position. Active participant in the boot camp program. Active bug reporting during the development of HTML5.



Created a numerous popular map during a relatively slow year for map making. Maps created include the Napoleon, Legacy of Rome and WW2 series. Maps have excellent borders and semi decent balance. Units used on all maps have default setting making them usable with almost an strategy already present in the game.



Active member of the supporter team. Created a number of useful threads including the "AtWar - Forum's Guide". Hosted the "Underdogs Tournament" one of the few successful low rank tournaments in AtWar. Played a big role in the revitalizing of the supporter position. Active bug reporting during the development of HTML5.

I really really really wasn't expecting this nomination at all... I'm honestly surprised (very much), I don't know who proposed me as a nominee but wow, he/she/they must love me quite much... I'm way too flattered, not even sure if I deserve being in this list...

Anyway, I'd like mention that, as Clovis said, we both are responsable for these guides, which we hope were and still are useful; but in my opinion, my biggest contribution to aw might be the constant fixing in the spanish translation I've been doing. Now more than 1200 translations or fixing done.

Yay! Congratulations to all those who were nominated. I am glad that the moderator group got those extra 5 we forgot!

Also, thanks Meester for putting this out. It takes a lot of sacrifice to do this <3.

It would be worth mentioning that Croat tried to host the duel league, and that Chrome's a weekly writer in AtWar Weekly.

I don't like the format of the voting, arranging up to 10 people in order of accomplishment its too difficult since by the time you get to #7 you don't remember who you already put up in the list.

Unfortunately Google form does not provide an alternative this is the best option I could come up with.

We could but then the results would be very inaccurate. We use first past the vote voting system and as you guessed its more or less necessary that all nominees have a position.

Yea but what really would be acurate is first top 5 cuz the rest will only get spammed hard. And i cant even finish my vote unless i decide for all, like idk what place i would put dr trollface since idk what has he contributed this year (maybe something i missed )

As CE mentioned, having to vote for all players instead of just top 3 or 5 is a little problematic. I know this isnt easy Meester and thanks for putting this together. My only thought it that it could skew the results to make us vote for everyone, for instance, about half of the guys on that list I have no idea what order to put them in. And I'm sure i'm not the only one. So some of the POTY could come down to just random choosing. I'm not sure if it is possible but maybe add a comment section so we can say something like "only my first 5 picks should count"?
