What is the point of even making a thread about a necessary and heavily supported feature if the admins refuse to even acknowledge it with a simple "We will keep this in mind". At the very least show us that you will eventually add it or give us hope. I checked who viewed each of the top topics in this forum and the admins were not on the list of one.

Just to let you know, I read almost every single post on the forum through the 'New posts' feature, it just doesn't display me in the 'Viewed by' page. I just don't have the time to respond to every single topic/suggestion. And yes, we do listen to player's suggestions and do implement them on a regular basis (check the last update, all player-suggested).

For about a month or two most well-supported ideas haves sunken to the bottom. Some ideas are extremely urgent ones that could be fixed in less than ten minutes.

If your curious why something hasn't been done or why something is the way it is just send a PM to amok. He has answered my questions on why certains things are the way they are and it make surprise you considering he has to think about the game differently then the "consumer".

So we are here continually bumping this idea for eternity because the admins won't spend a minute to tell us the reason that they can't add something? That is a stupid point Terminal.

You call these updates? Changes the stats of a strat is a major update? They make one update a month and they are always minor. There are hudnreds of minor suggestions not put in with majority support. Changes which don't have a major affect on the game but make it far easier like the ''Not available in this country'' Option for a unit in map maker.

There are hundreds of suggestions. All ignored.

Oh please, we've heard this so much. Over and over and over and over. ''They are busy.'' For a year?

We've been patient. So very patient for so long. We're all tired of the same lame excuses. See this people, this is why these people are mods and why others aren't. They are the ''Yes Men.'' The ones who don't complain, who don't say anything bad or never disagree and do as they are told. Yes, sir, three bags full sir. We love you, you are amazing, you are great and all those people who make minor cries of annoyance are heathens.

Im so tired of you people. Mods always putting up these false brick walls of hope and ''They are Busy!'' How long before Terminal will be a Mod? So he can join the others in being apologists for the blatant and obvious long period where we are ignored.

Go on, tell me how wrong I am and how Im not entitled to cgame changes and that I dont own it and if I dont like it then I can leave. Your pathetic arguments never change and it's a running joke that admins dont care.

So buuussssyyyy

Look at No Go Areas. They have been bugged since the Custom Maps were introduced and have not once been fixed nor have I recieved any feedback on them. They are very very bugged and I don't want to reveal how bugged in case players actually use this bug in a malicous manner.

REALLY BUGGED.

It was a problem in my very first map which was a LOTR map. It ruined my Halo map. Completely ruined it. I spent so long on that map and it was a damn good map but it was ruined by faulty no go areas. Then it was an issue in my WWII map and it was an issue in my WWI Map. I've been working on a LOTR Map again and the issue remains but I am attempting to work around it.

No Go Areas do not work properly. They NEED to be fixed.

And then of course, we have commander units. And espite dozens of threads on them, we have not ONE SINGLE TIME recieved word on how they work and after testing them I found out only one of them even does their actual job.

And here's the excuse. They are SOOOO BUSY. And us mapmakers aren't busy? I work, others here go to school. Yet we cna spend hours and hours on maps. We dont even get paid. Yet we do it, we provide content and we ask for changes and we get told that the people who made this, get money from it can't even reply to us? That problems festering for a year dont deserve any recognition?

Bull.

Starting to agree with this. Why not just hire 2 more programmers and a designer for a little while, to get some updates and cash flowing in? You need to take risks to get reward.

Heres two ideas we had since scenario maker. Remember when we had the admins saying they would add images for units? Like, instead of a Tank or a Plane we could have Cavalry or Archers. Trebuchets, WWII Ships, Galleons. They even suggested we could have different sounds like Arrows firing, 19th century guns or swords clashing, horses neighing.

Really small ideas which have no effect on gameplay but just add a nice asthetic to the game overall. Look at the Atwar frontpage and tis background image with Horseman, Swordsman and Modern Infantry, a Tank and a Helicopter.

Back then, that was amajor idea we all loved. It was silly but would have made the games feel so much better. WHy didn't they make a helicopter icon?

Im sure there are players here who would happily provide unit icons and sounds in abundance.

What's wrong with circles? I don't thing it's a good idea to have different icons across the maps. We've tried several options during the original AW beta, and everyone seemed to agree that the current representation works best.

Pre Custom.

This was a damn good idea at the time. Players wouldn't get confused, otherwise they would be confused with custom maps. My WWII has 4 times the number of units than Default. That doesn't confuse people and I doubt a Tank Icon being a Cavalry Icon will confuse people. They seem fine when buying these units in Colonial Maps when they are called ''Cavalry'' with a picture of a horse. People tend to automaticlaly assume they are Tank units.

And why look at the past? We have many sci fi maps with spaces ships, space marines and Ufos. WHo needs a rifle when we cna have pahsers, mega explosions, futuristic lasers. Hell, if you want to go full Star Wars, lets have a lightsaber strike. We even have zombie maps and other horror based games. This wouldnt make the game worse, it would make it better.

It's Pure asthetic. If a Tank has a rifle sound, barely anyone would notice. So why not let us upload sounds and get admin or mod approval to put them in game. I can understand a problem with letting people upload pictures or sounds. They could be offensive or even illegal. So just upload it, get approval and let admins/mods put them in.

But these are ancient ideas. Ignored, thrown away, discarded. Such minor things which add so much more dimension to gameplay.

Shit getting real in his topic

Of course it is. How many times have you said ''Support'' in a topic. How many ideas have you seen in custom that has filled you with glee but you KNOW it wont be put through?

You have the most played custom scenario game in ALL of Afterwind. Sure, updates and advertising create more users but WE provide the content. WE Made Atwar what it is today. Us mapmakers are the ones who make Atwar great. Default was dying and custom gave this game a major boost along with advertising.

We are the content creators that keep people coming back for more. We are the ones who, without any monetary reward, spend HOURS AND HOURS of painstaking effort to make great content which keeps people playing which incentivizes them to buy premium to play OUR maps or to even make maps like us, or to use strats and advantages given to you by premium.

It is us mapmakers who drive on atwar despite no reward. So why aren't we listened to? Why dont we get the credit we deserve and influence we should have for being the ones who brought Atwar to the pinnacle it is today? Those new players play our maps, they ask us how to make them. I run a coalition where I try to create more people who can create more content and people like us are the bread and butter that keep this game going.

It's about bloody time they listened to us more. Because without us content creators, this game would be dead. Just two of our maps alone, Magic, provided over 4500 plays. That's not to say Default isn't popular but it we delivered the goods and they don't need premium to play a default map. But they DO need premium to play ours. And the new users lap it up. They are always asking premium players to start games for them, games WE made.

So yeah, this is serious. We have issues and us content creators deserve some damn consideration so we can improve the job we provide for free that makes new users buy premium to play our maps. We provide the content, we provide the incentive to be able to play the maps we made which fund this game. Which keeps new users coming and STAYING for more.

Support isn't enough. We need change. Actual implementation so we can keep up that job.

Stop bullshitting to yourself. We're tired of hoping. We've hoped for a year with the same excuses and promises. They have jobs, they have family. And we don't? Does that stop us making maps that take weeks, even months to make? Do we get any reward for that? Do we ask for any? No, we ask to be listened to so can do our job better.

74 days for that ''Not Available in this Country'' Option for units in custom maps. Do you have any idea how much that could change things? Unit specific areas. Stables, Barracks, Airfields, Ports. It's a minor change which would make our job far easier and that could make for some very interesting map ideas.

That's just one single idea and there are so many like it. We mapmakers are bottom of the barrel. While they get tournaments, Unit changes in default, strat changes. What do we get? We got dumped in the custom map idea ghetto with a gravyard of ideas that dwindles more and more because we are all utterly tired of spamming the word ''Support'' and not getting any feedback, let alone implementation.

We provide the content, which provides the incentives, which provides the money. And we are tired of being ignored.
