Any suggestions for a nice place to go away in Europe for a weekend break?

Depends on budget.I think Austria/Finland/Alpes are the best.For low cost come to balkans and chosee bewteen former yugoslavian states and Albania.Also Antalia is kinda cheap and has mountain+ sea.

Kinda cheap, I've just got back from alps I was thinking Central Europe Prague Austria maybe

Frankly on balkans you can just pick between serbia and croatia, no bias. If you like mountains, kopaonik or zlatibor. Not sure about cro, ask croat D
Slovenia is incredible beautiful country, tho i'm not sure about price.

Also you cant go wrong with prague.

While not in europe sf tells me syria is a great place to visit. Beautiful fireworks displays all year around.

What will he do in serbia for winter vacation? is there winter cabins there or what? croatia and greece are nice for summmer not winter.

Serbia isnt cheap to get to from the UK ffs. Cheap food and accommodation doesn't matter if it costs more the get there than to stay there.

Now i'm not sure you would understand a sophisticated definition of providing accommodation to human being so i'll put it in a words you're more familiar with.

Oh wow.... such a great idea!!!!! The only thing people look and want when they go for vacation to another country is a hotel! That sounds so exciting and full of activities

I admire your guts and showing your logic "visit a new country because it has a hotel" . Thats why serbia gets alot of tourists everywhere, cuz you spread the word around the world of having hotels there.
