atWar Strike
As you've all known by now, someone has been DDoSing the game non stop for almost two weeks now. Due to these attacks many players have not been able to play atWar, which resulted in a strike being made by popular user Mauzer Panteri. Mauzer made a post calling for a strike against atWar as he was fed up and frustrated with the constant DDoS attacks and lack of action from the administrators. His post, which currently has 74 upvotes and over 300 posts, was met with a lot of praise from atWar users who were also upset with the way atWar was being dealt with. The post may be viewed as a positive thing, as Amok appeared and commented on the post.
As expected, Amok was bombarded with a lot of questions of angry and curious atWar players. Many were demanding for Amok to sort out the DDoS issues and to fix other aspects of the game, including the map editor. Amok explained to everyone how he was busy and that he would be looking for experienced programmers to help fix the game (if you're interested send a CV to Amok's PM). Despite this, many players were still not happy with Amok's response and the lack of action being done with the DDoS attacks.
Right now it seems atWar is at one of it's darkest moments. At the moment of writing this, I am currently unable to access the main lobby as it says 'Connection lost - Reload?', but whenever I am able to connect to the lobby I am shocked to see little games and a mere 20~ users in the lobby. There are countless posts being made claiming that atWar has 'died' and the game we've all loved will never be the same again. What are my thoughts on this? I am going to remain positive. I know Amok and Ivan have made many promises, but I do believe they truly do care about this game and they're working hard to fix everything behind the scenes, we'll just have to be patient. All I ask is that we remain as a community and do whatever we can to help the administrators with atWar, because despite the fact you're angry with the way things are, we all do not want atWar to shut down. #MakeAtWarGreatAgain
