yes, you have to be better skilled than him. If you have equal skill or less skill than your opponent, then it's impossible to win. Otherwise, just hold out and try to make him fall asleep or win by SP

alternatively, you could try to land troops and surround madrid with 3 turns worth of big walls. Then he will die automatically if you cap it
