Ive been gone for a few years, i used to play in high school during easy going classes. but now i would like to get back to playing, and start putting money in, but it seems that this game has taken a very serious hit in popularity. i remember always wanting to get lifetime premium, but now i dont think thats a wise choice because in the forms i seen someone who had lifetime premium get banned. i see alot of moderators, and i remember a few years back it felt very restricting. now im even more scared that its worse. my question is this; are all maps available to play? i dont want to be banned for playing one of my favorite maps from 2014 lol. also is there a plan to make this game more popular? ive tried to do my own digging and i seen that atwar is under new management. is there anything that i missed? any new rules? thanks, and God bless.

Also, i noticed that maps do not fill up fast, maybe there should be a new game mode where only 3 or 5 maps are allowed so people can play faster. ill put this in ideas and suggestions.

First, I want to say that your account was created in 2013. I only joined this game in 2017, so I may not be able to fully address your concerns. But I'll try my best.
Can't answer this oops. However, we have a new owner (Dave) and we are trying our best to revive the game
If you don't break the rules, you won't get banned
We recently made the decision to be more transparent in our decisions. There is a forum where you can openly discuss moderator actions now (https://atwar-game.com/forum/board.php?board_id=1119) and a forum where you can appeal your bans (https://atwar-game.com/forum/board.php?board_id=1170).
Yep. They all are. As long as you avoid SP farming (for example playing scenarios where you get to have 800 unit stack battles every turn just for SP), you'll be fine.
https://atwar-game.com/news/news.php?news_id=280&page=&message_id= This would be one example of us attempting to advertise the game more.
The rules are documented here https://atwar-game.com/forum/topic.php?topic_id=1843 I wouldn't know what the rules were when you were actively playing, but I feel that I should warn you about this since it's a problem we've been facing recently: Playing a game with multiple accounts will get you banned. Unfortunately, we are unable to differentiate between the same person playing on multiple accounts and multiple people playing together. This can be summarised in brianwl's post "Just a note to players that in general, two people from the same household/ip should not play in the same game together without informing other players and having their agreement. Usually it is next to impossible to verify two separate players without spending a lot of time to verify, as Croat did in this case. It's not up to him though - had he not changed the decision, it is still valid as it opens the door to abuse. As a reminder, the solution for two players using the same ip address, is don't play in the same game unless everyone in the game knows and agrees. Mods are in the unfortunate position that they must assume that it is multi-accounting by default, as the 'he's my brother' defense would be used by everyone wanting to multi-account, making the rule pointless." https://atwar-game.com/forum/topic.php?topic_id=45401 Anyway, welcome back, and have fun
