In Ancient 10k I used to think that mace was OP but now I actually think that sparta is a decent counter.

What do you think?

It is a well documented fact that Lao considers himself as the best Turkey slow roller in atwar, which is probably true, doesnt make his comment constructive though

Okay it doesn't really matter if he consider himself that or not. I'd like to see you and RaulPB dueling though, to see how practical are your and his theory.

"Let me post a clearly unbalanced setting but let me act like it's the other way around"

Make.

Europe >>>>> Asia by far.

China, India and Mid East > Europe.

Can you get china before I crush you in middle east though? ^^.

Europe is richer than middle east and india, also easier to expand. Last time I checked rome and carthage where the richest cities of the map. Also, European special is stronger than middle east or indian. Macedonian Pharax and spartan hopites can only be matched by Qin crossbow and that is a heck far of the battlefield.

You can either fight Europe early or Rush for whole Asia. In either of the sides you will end up fighting an opponent which have better income, reinf and special than you. Hard to win or hold.

It depends on the pick, but Syria would 100% win against Persia or India.

Kraig is right about macedonia v syria, that central area with rome/carthage has a strong advantage. It would be hard to slowroll from there If your opponent is competent.

I still believe Syria > Mace. If mace has Italy, Syria has middle east. If Mace decides to divide his army even further, such as going for Carth, then Syria can simply rush him. If Syria gets control over the turkish cities and ports, Mace will have a hard time since Syria also counts with a really high income and easy acces directly to Greece and his capital.
