Restrict enemy border crossing turn 1. This would solve all our problems and would stop trolls and wall-****. This would also get rid of wallbreaking. Any objections? This seems like the most ideal solution to getting rid of trolls.

That would make some expansions impossible. Lets say I want Belgium as Spain turn 1 with France as my opponent. I wouldn't be able to use the Brittany shortcut. Or say I want Belarus as Turkey with Ukraine as an opponent. I wouldn't be able to get through Ukraine. This might be useful in certain scenario games, but would destroy competitive games.

Well then, you can just go through the Britanny Shortcut by going through straight as long as you don't land and deploy troops into France

It would be good as a game option for world maps but for scenarios that don't require expansion it should be automatic.

Edit: Or atleast the mapmaker should be able to decide whether or not they want it on their map

I'm pretty sure we all are aware of this so therefore it should be a useful, optional game setting

Interesting option. Mention it again once html5 is online.

I can see how this would be great for certain scenarios (WWII, etc.) though due to there being expansion interruptions, I see this more as another option for mapmakers/host than a sweep across the border option.

I was thinking more of enemy troops cant stay on enemy land first turn. but they can go through it if they have the range.

This would hurt expansions

Then it should be an option a map maker can put on their map, this would be very useful for scenarios like GoT and 7 Years War and so it wouldn't hurt World Map games and the like.
