This idea is definitely worth reading and could bring a new dimension to AtWar; as we can see which cities can reinforce (white layering) and unit's stealth detection perimeter (dotted rings), there should be an option that you can toggle to allow you to "highlight" some types of units. For example, I constantly have to scrutinize the map to find where I left my scattered tanks and transports (it's annoying, and I know a lot of people complain about that), it would be extremely handy if my tanks and transports would have an outline, highlight, or ring around them and the city they are in so I can easily find them.

Unit Indicator would be an option (located, let's say, near the Units section on the upper toolbar) that you can change throughout the game where you simply tick which units you want to be highlighted/outlined/circled... Of course only your units will be indicated. The Unit Indicator settings would have the list of all the game's units (therefore also allowing RP custom units) and you would simply tick the type(s) you want to indicate (maybe even choose different indications for each unit type).

For those that would say "Just toggle the unit movement range" (which in some cases is convenient): first of all, it shows every unit's range making the map look like an overlapped Twister Game more than anything else. Secondly, in a city that has tanks and militia, only the militia range is shown, so you still can't find your tanks quickly.

Finally, I can't think of any drawbacks this Unit Indicator option could have: it cannot lead to bad exploitation, it would not slow down the game (as it is only adding a sprite on predetermined units chosen by the player), and it is easy to implement and code.

I am of course open to suggestions, comments, and constructive criticism. I thank you for reading my AtWar suggestion.
