Who even cares about population, which is mostly outdated or bugged like when it displays -100000000. My simple suggestion is to remove it and only keep percentage (%) stats. For example: - Berlin - ... - Population: 94% And when it displays population casualities: "6% of population dead in Berlin". Numbers are totally irrelevant, only percentage is important in casualities.

Population numbers can be a good factor to add some realism/accuracy into a map that potrays other ages, that, and to control income, but the second reason I listed can easily be fulfilled with a % number. I vote to fix minor bugs on it.

From my next upcoming FAQ:
EDIT: As the comment says the current population of a country is meaningless. I would love to see it affecting the population grown (for example), otherwise we'll better get rid of useless displayed information.

It is quite interesting to know about how many people you kill, but that is something that don´t add nothing to the game playing

Fix map editor? Make RA useful again? Nah, removing something no one gives a fuck about is top priority!

Do you definitely know that population doesn't factor into collateral calculations? That is to say, would a city of 15 million receive less collateral (as a proportion of its population) than a city of 0.15 million, ceteris paribus? I like seeing population statistics in cities, but if it's bugged for some players, then I would support its temporary removal until it's fixed, if it is fixed, as long as the admins can confirm that the answer to my question above is "no."

I think a city with more population, income and reinforcements gives more SP to take, the main use for it is to see how big and important the city is but it's usually bugged or not used by mapmakers anyway.

The population number does matter though. If a city has a population of 1, you will get only one reinforcement, while its percentage value is 100%, yet a city with 5,000,000 at 50% gives 4 reinforcements (this is just from a random map for Hyderabad). The latter city has 50% yet it gives more than the 100% city. Truth is you need both. I would like to see both total population loss and percentage loss for reports on casualties. This is a real non-issue however, nothing needs to be fixed.
