Which RP is Better? Martell's or Fappy's?

Anyone feel like making an RP map that has Amsterdam, the Hague, Rotterdam, Utrecht and Groningen as five geographically close 10-reinforcement $600 income cities?


In all seriousness, I am inclined to agree with RaulPB here.

Fappino's RP map is interesting and it's great fun (or at least it is for me), but let's not pretend that it's balanced, realistic or whatever. It isn't.

A map which is based on spamming bunkers to become undefeatable and which relys 99% on blitz is not fun. It's boring, repetitive, too much of a spamming nonsense, whoever gets the most bunkers wins (so OP countries always win), no strategy involved, no nothing...
I've never pretended it's balanced, I proved it actually isn't. Realistic? Not even during his best dreams.

5k is still too low. People have 5k income at the very least plus the starting 50k funds. Meanwhile a single bunker can defend against 50 fucking OP tanks which cost 250-350, do the maths. Its HP is too freaking OP. Even Tempted's bunkers were fairer. This is just a laughable map.

Let's imagine for a moment a hypothetical tank, with 12 maximum attack and 7 health. Pretty much your standard OP tank in an RP map.

Ignoring critical, 12 max attack means 6.5 average attack. Since bunkers are 40 health, this means that it takes an average of 6.2 hits from a tank to destroy a bunker.

Similarly ignoring critical, 20 maximum defense means 10.5 average attack. Tanks are 7 health, so this means that it takes an average of 0.7 hits from a bunker to kill a tank.

Divide one number by the other and you find that tanks can kill one bunker in the time bunkers kill 9.3 tanks. Of course, I didn't take critical into account, so the actual number may be a bit off. Even so, it's pretty clear that one bunker is not worth, and I quote you, "50 f__ing OP tanks."

Since tanks are around $300 apiece, monetarily $2,790 is a fair price for bunkers.

But income affairs is not everything. If you consider the bunkers' insane reinforcement efficiency, $3,000~$5,000 is a fair price, depending on how much you want to stress reinforcement efficiency over income efficiency.

That's like 7 tanks per bunker, each one costs 600, so 4200 in gold minimum. Btw, this was with no strategy.

I still don't know what to think about bunkers, they shouldn't even exist... all this OP troops are too retarded...

I changed the Bunker cost to 5k, its the maximum that can be made. But to be honest, I already tested it with this value and bunkers are still too OP, therefore I'm considering removing them or nerfing them...
Raul, refering to the balance and reinforcements, I changed a little bit, but I admit that the spamming capabilities are bad, like in all RP's, but that comes with the map, kinda.
And the infantry and tanks are there, players decide wether to use it or not.

Spamming capabilities are given by RP map makers, not by the map. A RP doesnt need the spamming capability! You can RP in the old standard map with it's minimum spamming capability! You guys are the ones that connect RP with spamming.

Ofc, you can say infantries are there... but honestly, have you ever bought infantries in a RP map?? Have you??? I've only done that once, in Adog's RP and because I played as Egypt XDD Infantries are no use in a map where tanks are so freaking OP and income is high enough to be able to spam them as if they didn't cost anything. The same goes for your marines... they are completely useless. No fun in having no stealth unit. You should improve that. For now, the only viable units in your map are those OP tanks (there are so many of these...) and bunkers and playing blitz.

Nice to see that you're finally doing something to try balance your units... hope you take seriously improving your map and maybe I'll decide to try it again once you believe you've made the adecuate changes

For now I'm considering if I should try Martell's too.... though I feel scared about what will I find there
