Unearthing WWI: Classic WW1 Returns (Ultimate WWI)

Do you remember the first WW1, before custom maps were here? It was made by Andartes




Do you ever wonder where the War to End All Wars Country Colors originate from? Throughout AW history, we kept, for the most part, WW1 and WW2 colours the same, as the years went by.


When custom maps came out, I made the first Custom WW1. Today, it makes its return.







With low starting USA cash (so it can build up and not help in Europe untill the end like in reality), trains for Russian Siberian units, Poison Gas, Artllery, Heavy Artillery, Trenches, Stormtroopers T11, Tanks T15, Machine GUn infantry, basically the main units from WW1 War to End All Wars, with the same stats. Everything on a smaller, more interesting scale.







The Trenches on the west are Paschendale, Marne, and Verdun:

Once clovis syncs the map and scenario, it's ready to go. I spent a few hours on it and only ask one thing in return: you can post suggestions, or improvements (chances high to be unbalanced altho I think I did a decent job), but stuff like "shit map, shit scenario", anything like that will not be tolerated and will result in a swift ban. The point was I just didn't like how germany divided the lands in that era and the request to join was not serious xD

It was rated 4.5 back then, before Afterwind changed mechanics which changed the map which new players(like you) are not able to realize

EDIT: its actually a map issue, not scenario issue. The map is not loading either so I guess thats the problem

If editor works again, here's list of changes i advise, its mostly aestetics:

- artillery have tank icon, idk if thats on purpose
- heavy arty have destroyer icon, should be changed (confusing)
- rename bratislava to pressburg (original early 20th century name)
- rename ljubljana to leibach (original early 20th century name)
- rename zagreb to agram (original early 20th century name, if i remember right)
- rename split to spalato ((original early 20th century name) if i remember right)
- rename lviv/lvov to lemberg (original early 20th century name)
- rename cluj to klausenburg (original early 20th century name)
- and for the love of god rename Czar Nicholas to Tsar Nikolai, just for me (transliteration to english should be from russian not polish, just like emperor=kaiser is from german to english, not polish)
- maybe rename Vienna to german form Wien, sounds better in my opinion
- Sankt Petersburg is incorrect name, its either Saint Petersburg or Sankt Peterburg, but in WW1 it was simply Petrograd (city of peter, like stalingrad)
- tbilisi to tiflis
- maybe add turkish troops in russian central asia, as Basmachi Revolt started there in 1916, muslim rebellion against conscription in russian army, they had ottoman officers and few leaders, like enver pasha who died there, so maybe few stealths as event midgame

- Karaganda didnt exist during WW1 (founded in 1931), maybe remove the city

- Komsomolsk didnt exist, but there was village called Permskoye

- make saudi arabia no go zone
- make persia no go zone
- turn off ports in italy and libya, add 1 trans in libya as event t1 (keeps ita fighting in alp trench and not rush austria via sea)
- make hold cap 3 turns not 2 (official)
- add generals
- make names shorter (hard to read chat)

Yes, Spain is still no-go zone, just not turned off as a nation, thats a bug.
