I believe that the new subscription need to play maps that we once didnt need to pay for is a stupid idea just to get money out of us loyal players as it was only around 1/2 weeks ago you could play any map. Maybe if we got enough people saying yes they would take it back to the normal free way.

What? You might be talking about the free 3-day subscription you get after one month being inactive... subscription has been here forever

Actually new players get 3 day worth of free subscription as a 'how do you do'. It's IP address based so no point making a new account.
Subscription has been around since the game was launched in 2010 it's hardly a new thing.
Besides the servers and stuff cost money. You can't expect the admins to pay for that out of their own pockets without making any income from this game...
Also it'll be unfair to all those who actually paid for the premium features.

New players no longer receive the maps/options welcome pack, this has been in place to stop players making alt account's to access's custom maps. Shared IP addresses have no impact on new account registrations.

There is nothing new about the subscription (since 2011) and the chances of removing premium are pretty much non existent. It would seem Raul is correct that you were given the premium options pack after beng inactive for over 30 days.
