Hey, Amok and Ivan guys since your pay for servers out of your own pocket and money is kind of a pain to spend on this game and im kinda assuming people don't donate by the hundreds (none the less they still donate and it helps) but I propose you guys make a tool bar so people can download it and you guys get profit for every download Think about it and tell me what you guys think thanks.

Thanks for your concern. Actually, we're earning some money from the Premium features already. Not much, but definitely enough to pay for the hosting. What we're really looking for is a good way to promote the game - we've tried everything, with rather modest results...

Yeah if this game reaches that critical mass, you guys can be set for life... Hope you guys get there.

Thanks. The game doesn't have the same level of accessibility as, let's say, Angry Birds, nor do we have the backing of a major company - but we hope we can succeed nonetheless, on our own terms

When I will grow up I will make a strategy online game and I will be as awesome as Charlie Sheen.

It's another good idea, but more suitable for an adventure game

I have friends who are really into strategy games, but the problem is that newcommers have difficulties with getting to know the game... The tutorial isn't enuth i guess to really understand the whole thing. I think that there should be a main menu when pressing on "play" to have a better overview for those people, cause many newbys don't check all the buttons on the top right... And while waiting in the room you could add some points of the help button (during the game) in a small window like in many other games when you are loading it! I also think that this is at the moment more important than working on the game itself (or gameplay).

Yes, we are working on making the game more accessible. Btw, tutorial is suggested for all new players the first time they enter the game, so they don't have to look for the button

I had an idea for that. it may not be major- but you could try advertising on newgrounds.com, maybe set up your own shop on the site where players can buy afterwind t-shirts (with awesome player made art of course) buy premium upgrades, maybe introduce a in-game currency that allows some players to make/do special things etc. etc. etc.

The shop is a good idea, but I think newgrounds is not needed since it could be done here. The only problem I see about that is the work it would make to Ivan and Amok to produce, sell and send packages with products all over the world (plus many countries have special laws about market).

I agree as I only know a few people in real life who are as into strategy games as I am. But most Risk and Civ players do well here, I myself am a huge Civilization fan and I am spreading the word in the communities of those games as well.

I was think that as an option you could right click on something that your not sure about and it would have some extra info or something.
---- i know there's an answer i just don't know what it is yet

Hmm, i'll try to get it mentioned in an article in a norwegian newspaper (web version). The author is fond of risk like games, so he might just like it enough to have it mentioned (The article in question, comes out every friday and is a summary of funny videos, pictures and nice small games. titled something like: "Look what we found on the internet")

For me, as an experienced strategy gamer, i would say the tutorial wasn't all that interesting tbh. The introduction video on the main page however :O I checked that one out for fun after i'd played for a week, and found some time saving techniques i was unaware of Do the tutorial mention the introduction video? If not, maybe it should. Or maybe have it in the tutorial, as a preview thing before u start it.
