Most of us seen it, some of it happened to us. I think it's time we ask the players about VRIL.

Vril enforces the rules. Some harsh yes?

(Permabanning should only be for someone who really does something bad like hdrakon did.)

If you don't want to get warned or muted don't break the rules. Simple.

Yes but, in VRIL's point of view, he is a no-fun allowed, serious discussion only mod.

I'm pretty sure you can stop kissing the Mod's asses now. It will get you fucking nowhere.

On-Topic: After knowing of VRIL for a good year, I hate to say it, but he at least needs a suspension. I wouldn't demote him outright, as with any person accused of doing bad, he's done good as well. I believe he needs some time off, and can come back when he's realized why we're so angry.

Having a super punishing mod can help enforce the rules but perma-banning someone who payed money is a bit too extreme

So, by spending twenty freedom tickets, you're basically given moderation immunity? Bullshit.

I voted yes. Unlike many of the players, VRILS's received plenty of feedback and 'warnings'.

Just from my own experiences, I received a permanent ban on chat for calling someone who was trying to derail a forum thread a 'noob'. I had no warnings or prior incidents before that. Permanent ban means I could no longer advertise games in global.

I personally felt like it was because I got on his 'bad list' for being opposed to his banning of hdrakon. Another player who was permanently banned!? The leader of a successful clan and someone who was one of the nicer players to newbies? So stupid. His final infraction? Calling VRIL a nazi lol. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

lolwut. Paying players still get banned, just not perma.
Also, super punishing mods? You done goof saying that. Look around the forum, doesn't look very pretty because VRIL went ''super punishing mod'' and now everyone hates his guts.

If we are gonna remove VRIL, we need an replacement. I don't know who though.

Yes, as a player player, I support everyone being able to be perma-b&. There should be no special immunities- it's $40. A replacement is not necessary, learning from this ordeal is.

In all seriousness
mods in a small community so willing to give out permabans to players that contribute so much to the game and community is really sad to see

I honestly think that we are taking this to the extreme. I am in Syndicate so I am with mods every day. When I found out Tunder got banned I spoke to Spart, a reasonable mod, about it and he said that the reason for Tunder getting banned was a very true reason and that he, Spart, said that as a mod he looks into each of the bans and decides if it was just. On several occasions bans have been overturned because mods like Spart have fought in the defence of the community. In my opinion this shows that people who do get banned usually deserve some form of punishment (though usually reduced). In addition, Spart told me that in order for a player to be permanently banned all the mods must agree on it. So players like hdarkon and Tunder who were permanently banned obviously did something enough to offend the sensative mods but at the same time the moderate mods who are more understanding of us as immature children given a computer and a keyboard. Before we go bashing VRIL or any of the other mods for banning we gotta step back and evaluate the situation. I personally dont know why Tunder was banned and I doubt I ever will. I think it would help the atWar communits if they knew why, maybe put out some of the fires. But regardless we dont need to turn this into a witch hunt to over throw the so called "tyrants" how about instead we try not to offend others to badly and learn to joke around with the right people. Like honestly guys.

Paying money into a game does not give you ban immunity, you still have to follow the community rules, this is in every game you play and it's even in life such as clubs, casinos, you name it.

vril may be harsh in you opinions but honestly I am more inclined to that way of moderating. personally I think warnings should not be given. As a member of the community it should be your responsibility to know the rules and abide by them, and it's the mods right to ban you however small or large you step out of line, they shouldn't have to constantly remind teenage wanttobe trolls of the rules.

PS: here's a story for you. I have seen a man lie £1000 on drinks and VIP area and dances at a strip club, 20 mins in there he pulls out some coke and takes a line, the guards drag him out the club, no refund is given. so please don't give me hard done by bullshit of he shouldn't get banned because he spent money etc etc

Still reasons should be posted as to why. Im not saying that the mods need to explain themselves but it saves everyone time if they came out and right away said "Tunder3 broke Rule ___ by doing ____ in ___ Game at _:__ yesterday. Due to this being an offence that he has preiviously participated in the moderators of the atWar community have decided to give Tunder3 a permanent ban from atWar."

actually a players ban should not be public. it should be between the player and the moderators. would you want you mom to tell everyone you know what you have done wrong and then spank you in front of them? there we go. it is only the way tinder has dealt with this (in an extremely cchildish way) that it has got to this point.

Actually if people were constantly fighting over thinking that my mom is evil and that im an angel who did nothing wrong and was just victimized by a bias system, of course I would expect the mods (mom in this instance) to speak up and get the people to understad. Of course Tunder doesnt want the mods to tell everyone why because if it is a legitamate reason then it will make him and his followers look like fools. There is a simple end solution. Nip it in the bud before it grows out of control and I believe it will soon be to the stage of chaotic raging in all chats, forums, and games alike.
