Yes. They are 2 different species, Tiger is bigger, heavier and stronger than Lion with black stripes on orange fur, while Leopard is smaller and weaker than lion with speckled fur. Also leopard can climb trees and spend most of his time there, something that is unique only to jaguar and this cat in the big cats family.

I like black panthers the most. It looks so clean, and shiny, also looks cuter with a better looking snout. But what is your best leopard though?

"Family Felidae

Genus Panthera
  • Tiger, Panthera tigris Asia
  • Lion, Panthera leo (Sub-Saharan Africa, Gir Forest in India; extinct in former range of southeast Europe, Middle East, much of Asia, and North America)
  • Jaguar, Panthera onca (the Americas; from the southern United States to northern Argentina)
  • Leopard, Panthera pardus (Asia and Africa)
  • Snow Leopard, Panthera uncia (syn. Uncia uncia - mountains of central and south Asia)
    Genus Acinonyx
  • Cheetah, Acinonyx jubatus (Sub-Saharan Africa and Iran; extirpated in former range of India)
    Genus Puma
  • Cougar, Puma concolor (North and South America)"

Jaguars isn't Leopard, it looks like it but it's different. Jaguars tend to have larger rosettes with spots in the middle, the leopard has plain rosettes with no central spot in the middle, they're also bigger than leopards. Jaguar are the third largest cat after tiger, and lion. Which also means stronger than leopards, there's more differences between these two cats.

I think it's more easier to say puma than cougar for most people. Also it sound better.
And yes panthers can be jaguars and leopards. They still have these speckles, it's just that their fur is darker, and it's harder to see. There's also subspecies of panther in puma.

I like the genetically modified Siberian Ligers they have at new York zoo. Half Lion Half White Tiger they have beautiful grey manes and are 600 pounds larger then either of there parent animals. The larger one is even blind and it's eyes look pure white giving it a Devine look. To bad they are sterile and can't breed it's a shame best looking animals iv ever seen.

I own a pet Lynx They are here in northern Michigan aswell.

Edit: I owned a Indian Bengal Aswell but state law was not very well written and I lost a case and had to give him to a zoo
Aswell as I own a Vellicito Alsatian also known as the American Dire wolf, I purchased one for me and one for my girl friend in egypt, it's cool because they changed colors from when we first got them, they where both grey pups but ad they got older my turned a misty white while hers is almost brown now it's very cool.

I think you misunderstood. This thread is about which leopard you think is the best. Not which big cat from Genus Panthera is the best.
RoaiStyle forgot the name of the animal and instead wrote tiger.

I'd say it's the African leopard, but then there's this Persian leopard who's bigger, and look more better, but I don't know how good of a hunter it's.
On appearance I'd say the Snow leopard is the best, it looks cooler.
