Chrome works fine except that it is run by Google and Google keeps records on every keystroke
made by any URL while using google, chrome, etc.
Google (chrome) is essentially an Orwellian "Big Brother" that provides its data to dozens of governmental agencies in the USA and other countries. It doesn't even attempt to resist handing over all of its data.
Some of us on this game value our privacy. I realize that cost-effectiveness probably prohibits AWar from changing from Chrome.
However, if the opportunity every occurs, I hope you'll take it and dump Google (Chrome).
Competitors, like Duck etc. are providing similar software with a guarantee of no tracking and
no records-keeping.

You can't just dump a browser lol...chrome supports html5 and atwar uses html5. If you're so worried about your privacy and still want speed then use opera.

Orwellian "big brother" phobias and dystophias kinda seem ridiculous in a world where everyone is snap chat, instagraming, tweeting and posting all their shit on facebook...

Edit: i'm off topic?

Big brother is not a "phobia"; its a reality; I live in the USA, I'm not naive enuf to post on tweet, snapchat, instagram or facebook;
there are trolling networks for the government & for private industry;
If anyone here ever seeks a job and the employer they are applying at has
any decent recruiting, every keystroke U ever put into ur computer will be
available to the recruiter.
I know I worked for years in corporate "recruiting".
when I play this game, I never use my home computer or URL.

If ur satisfied with a low paying job where there isn't much scrutiny, yeah, U don't care.
Poster Beware:
some day all that sh** U posted with ur URL might karma right back at U.
It'll come back to haunt U.

Sorta like applying
for a job with a tatoo of satan's horns on ur forehead.
When U got the tatoo U didn't worry about it. someday U might.

Chrome can't be the only browser using HTML5.

Also, I've never even heard of "opera". Is that the place old fuddies go to listen to
other old fuddies sing?

"Opera" browser is a subsidiary user of Google Chrome. Its fast but no more secure than Google Chrome. Every keystroke on Opera sits on servers regularly trolled by governments and
private enterprises.

I forgot to mention Kardashian: u may be right about that tatoo thing.

this is purely anecdotal, BUT:

An acquaintance got a big tatoo that cost almost a grand to get removed bec the tatoo was getting job apps thrown into the circular file.
After removal, gotta job in less than 4 weeks, after being seven months without work.

Also, she told me to never post anything on your home computer U don't want everyone in the world to know about. Recruiter questions showed they knew a lot more about her than she wanted them to know.

Opera is a small market internet browser used by hipsters.

I researched "Opera"; it may be a great browser; but:
1. Can it ever be used in this game?
2. If not, who cares?
3. If yes, how is the Opera browser any safer than Google with respect to trolling by anyone who wants to see what you've been searching, browsing, playing, and all your chats?
the only browser that doesn't track you is Duck(something).

4. If hipsters use Opera, U can be sure it'll be targeted by govt/private trolling computers.
Listen to Snowden folks.

Tactician posted this.
1. He says that opera can be used in this game.

replY: the folks at Microsoft state that if u are using Chrome, the only way to open other browsers is to open via Chrome. Thus Chrome is trolling
my every move in the browser I opened.

3. Tactician said
Who cares?

reply: I care. Maybe your working a minimum wage job or still in school but I'm working a high paying job, management job, that I don't want to lose bec google gives everything I post, including this reply,
to anyone who wants it.

In sum: did U read the previous posts as to why some ppl need anonymity??
or, as U like to say, who cares? if U don't care about my concerns,
don't post.

Respect is a 2 way street.

DuckDuckgo is the only browser that even claims U it won't track your browsing. Unfortunately, if chrome is on your computer, you have to first open Chrome to get to DuckDuckGo and Chrome,
will still track every keystroke.

If you don't believe me, ask Google, or email Microsoft.

There are a few players who just love to trash other players & argue about stuff they
know nothing about.
When a rational person posts a valid issue, the small # of trubled players respond
with blood coming out of them, a la Megyn Kelly.

Ur default browser doesn't mean anything.
did U read the prior posts.? If Chrome is on your
computer, it collects data on every keystroke U make. U can use DuckDuckGo (a
formerly secure browser) or ANY other browser and Chrome still knows all your keystrokes.

Call or email Google (Chrome) as I did.
Its true. I couldn't believe that MicroSoft would allow this but MS confirmed it.
If its not true, why would GoogleChrome & MS admit to
it?

I don't speak Russian but this is the best English I can use to show how powerful
people view us:

"Two percent of the population runs a revolution. The ignorant, naive and unschooled
are fodder that must fight for us
against the bourgoisie and their running dogs. Opponents of conscription
cannot be tolerated. See to it." Vladimir Lenin

Lenin is in a tomb but his ideas live on, unfortunately.

HummlePie: U botched the translation. Actually you took a series of statements made
by Lenin and put them all together.

The more poignant facts are: Russia had 10,000 secret police . When Lenin seized power,
the number increased to 200,000.

Some "Free"?? countries today employ even more spies than Lenin that spy on their own people.

Google and Chrome and MS are owned by billionaires who don't give a damn
about anyone's rights but their own.

We live in an Orwellian society where free speech is a thing of the past.

I wish I was so naive that I could trust that my government will do the right thing
and only spy on evil people.
But, I don't trust my government and I believe the government presumes that all
citizens are evil until proven innocent by scientific factual evidence.

And, there is no scientific evidence they will ever accept as valid.

That's why I don't like Google, Chrome or MS. They don't even pretend that
they care about the average guy on the street.

Spy illegally, spy some more, and continue to invade players' privacy until no
partially sane person
dares to say anything on the internet. Lenin would love that.

However, we do have lotsa normal folks that couldn't care less about anyone's privacy.
