I'm hanging in for the hope that Trump will win and re-instate his economic policies of 2016. If that happens, we'll be okay. But if, God forbid, Harris wins, I'll almost certainly be bankrupt in the next year. My business cannot survive another year of Biden/Harris.

His tax laws are still in place, so imagine if Kamala won and next year she pushed forth more taxes on corporations. It would cost the price of goods to increase and make everyone's lives even worse. People also like to argue that their income didn't increase under Trump but they fail to recognize that under Trump, their purchasing power increased, which is what matters when buying goods and services.

I was specing two of my clanmates cwing when one of them lost his internet ~t4. Game was in my opinion 55/45 in Prestiges favor yet the game was too early to call (my opinion). Dominoz did lose his internet before hand and they had to remake, and in the remake he lost his internet due to a storm where he lives. Additionally, Dominoz did claim he had 3-4k to rush Ankara, which again shows that game was too early to call.

I propose a bet button for 1v1, 2v2 or 3v3 games where players place their bet before starting the game and at the end of each game the winner or winners take the accumulated lot, I think that with something like this the competitive ones even the cw they would be more interesting....

Trump did nothing for the economy except give tax cuts for the top1%. It's an urban legend that Republicans do better with the economy, never actually happened.

Have to disagree. I'm not in the top 1% (at best I'm in the top 50% lol) but my taxes went down under Trump. Business was good under Trump... it was during his term I achieved the highest income I've ever earned, and was able to buy a house. Where interest rates are now, I would have zero chance of being able to do that today.

I'm old enough to have lived and worked through several up & down cycles of the economy. Clinton screwed things up in the late 90's with his interest rate hikes. Bush Jr. was the first president to actually lower our family's taxes in my lifetime, and the economy was mostly good during his time, until everything fell apart around 2008. Obama then comes in and does every wrong step, prolonging the recession and making it worse... he raised our taxes, and tacked on an $800/year Obamacare mandate that still makes my blood boil to this day. Finally Trump came in and got the government off our backs. Trump 2016-2020 was the best economic conditions I've ever had.

Now under Biden/Harris I'm quite literally on the verge of bankruptcy. My income has not increased since 2021, while my expenses have increased dramatically. My business is being squeezed by the Biden/Harris-caused inflation. (Why do you think I've been absent from atWar the last 2 years? I've been scrambling, working my ass off trying to make money, and still failing to get ahead....)

Any normal person who took a basic economics class could have foreseen massive inflation would be the inevitable result of the Biden/Harris economic policies (i.e. printing money like there's no tomorrow.... how'd that work out for Germany in the 1930's? Or Argentina in the 2010's?)

I just want to apologize to the Atwar community for my past actions. I know back in the day I was known for RPing and for well, being relentless in wars and taking games way too personal. To whoever suffered my annoying rants, to whoever I've offended in the past with my political talks, to whoever was offended by my affiliation with Adolph (I was 14 and had no idea who they were RPing as) I want to tell you I'm sorry. I apologize for cheating (I'd spend all game walling and stacking money and troops- wait for two players to fight, then kill them both - I know its not cheating but they were very easy victories and looking back definitely felt like cheating) I apologize for kill stealing, I apologize for having my clan mates join games, fund me, and then killing everyone, I apologize for taking every city except the capital to SP farm, I apologize for abusing weaker players, and I apologize for my role in the RP community. I know RPs were popular, but I cant help but feel partly responsible for the games current state of affairs. I know there were thousands who did the same as me, and I know in hindsight there's no need to apologize - its just a game, but my teen years this game brought me great comfort. the players didn't know me, but still some of my fondest memories are with you lot- I wish I could turn back time, to the good old days - I wish I could take back all the dumb and mean stuff I said to people, I wish I was nicer to newbies, I know it doesn't really matter, but some of you guys were my closest friends. I know most will never read this- but I love At-war and I love the community. Please forgive my behavior. I love you all and hope that someday- this game will be back up and running like old times. in real life- I was going through a ton of hardship. Mechanically, what happened was like the inverse of a serbwall, but obviously looking at the ss it was done my accident (as I said before) so that's what I had observed. It was also obvious you tried to do a huarck wall, which is legal.

The remainder of your message felt more opinion-based, and I don't think there would be much value to me replying. It seems we'd just be going in circles - like debating whether a melon is a fruit or a vegetable. As the master of off topic balkan flamewars, I know when to stop.
I see that we have different perspectives on the matter of legality of huarck wall, and I respect that. In my eyes, it is not sketchy, and as I said I approve of the move. You don't think so. I am playing to win, and wanted to give you a clear reply regarding what you should and shouldn't expect from me in cw. When I say I play to win, I want to highlight that it does not mean I would not give a tie to a clan over sincere connection problems or similiar issues. I also clearly stated that I don't approve of wf t1, rewall, or serbwall, but I do use and approve of the Huarck wall when used against me. We never even spoke about not allowing the use of huarck wall before. I myself have been farmed by huarck using his own huarck wall. I even malded at him at first, we all have weak moments and decide to give in to anger and rage. I moved on and learnt the move myself.

I have no interest in arguing with you. You're free to boycott CWs with me if you wish, but consider whether it's smart or justified. The competitive scene survives thanks to just 10 active players, and your reason for boycotting seems to be that you lost. You accused me of rewalling, even though your own screenshot shows I didn't move my wall. After I explained that it wasn't rewalling, you made this post. Tempest even explained and made videos showing you a similar situation, and you eventually admitted that you hadn't seen the mechanic I used before. Instead of thanking me for teaching you a new move, you started the drama.

For casual games, I like having multiple allies, and believe in the standard ally cap(3). Not everyone bothers reading PMs, but when playing with several allies who do, I can coordinate plans, which is rather fun.

I'm not sure if more than 3 is really necessary. I haven't played many games with more than 3 allowed, but I feel like 4+ allies is usually excessive. After you have 3 allies, maybe people would want to join you, but unless there's a single massive player or another coalition, I'm not convinced that you would usually want them to join you.

I think that the standard 3 allies might be sufficient in most cases. There may be some massive custom maps where you would want to have lots of players, in which case more is perhaps warranted.

Given that in the early game, many/most players end up loosing/leaving, and in the mid game, you're probably down to under 10 players already(and the end game is probably down to 2 or 6), I see no point in having more than 3 alliances. I suppose that if 1 very good player(or perhaps a player who got extremely lucky) ends up dominating the map, a large coalition of average/less lucky players could have reason to form, but it otherwise sounds pointless.

Objectively speaking, if you ignore a few exceptions, if you are going for an ally cap of 4+, why not simply play a team game?


Regarding lower ally caps: I don't believe in them, since in casual games, people time out rather often, and then you have an unbalanced game, meaning an alliance is sometimes the only way to rebalance the game. I also think it's acceptable for a few less experienced players to ally against a higher ranked one(though I wouldn't say that if everyone in the game was reasonably high ranked or at least very good).

The range bug should be fixed urgently as it is easy to replicate but for a person who doesn't have time to look at the battle screen or doesn't know about these things, it is an unfair advantage.
I personally would rather do my turn than spend 2 minutes on the battle screen.

I think that at this point every game should be recorded, it's impossible to know if someone did something intentionally or not, I could say that I didn't want that wall but deep down, I know that I did it to gain an unfair advantage. Not everyone reads the rules or knows about these things.

Aside from that, I am not going to defend myself - I did not do anything we consider wrong there. As for legality of the huarck wall, I will quote Dave:

We agreed even during the previous ownership of the game that we do not allow rewall, serbwall, wf t1 in cw. As GF said, Huarck used to do huarckwall for years, and would still do it if he was active. He is not the only one, I am using them aswell. I am not the only one either.
